IIT Palakkad has entered into an MoU with Centre for Science and Environment on 24th July 2025.Through this MoU, Global Sanitation Centre of Excellence (GSCOE), Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad, and Centre for Science and Environment are recognising their shared objectives and complementary expertise, express their mutual intention to extend and formalize their cooperation under the initiative, titled “Laboratory Alliance for Quality Execution of Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs) and Treatment Technologies in India and South Asia.” The MoU was signed by Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean (Industry Collaboration & Sponsored Research), IIT Palakkad, and Director General, Centre for Science and Environment.

IIT Palakkad has entered into an MoU with KPR College of Arts, Science and Research on 23rd July 2025, to collaborate in research areas of mutual interest. The MoU encompasses academic and research activities, including exchange of information, joint supervision of projects, joint organization of seminars and conferences, student internships, and joint proposals for research funding. The MoU was signed by Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean (Industry Collaboration & Sponsored Research), IIT Palakkad, representing the institution, and Dr.P. Geetha,Principal, KPR College of Arts, Science and Research.

IIT Palakkad has signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Stellantis Engineering India, IIT Madras and SRM Institute of Science and Technology on 17th July 2025. The Parties intends to enter into technical and business discussion aimed to explore cooperation projects on metals material and components with the aim to increase the material performance and improve the sustainability and also include projects with respect to various domestic and export projects. IIT Palakkad and Way Cultural Conserve,Thanjavur have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 4th July 2025. The MoU establishes a collaboration on technical assistance and expertise from IIT Palakkad and LiDAR scannning for heritage properties, technical assistance in reality modeling research including geospatial data analysis and LiDAR applications, joint discussion to outline a framework for collaborative engement in forthcoming projects of mutual interests. The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean (ICSR), IIT Palakkad and Mr.Sakthi Murugan, Founder, Way Cultural Conserve,Thanjavur, in the presence of Prof. Seshadri Sekhar, Director IIT Palakkad.
IIT Palakkad and Vehant Technologies Private Limited have signed a Research agreement on 20th May 2025. The agreement establishes a collaboration on Machine learning , Deep learning, Computer vision including 3D, Video analytics. IIT Palakkad and Autodesk in India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 9th May 2025, to advance skill development in the DesignandMake industries. The milestone collaboration, formalized by Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director of IIT Palakkad, and Smitha Raghunathan, Interim Regional Director of Autodesk India & SAARC, aims to drive immersive learning, research collaboration, and curriculum innovation in architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), and design and manufacturing.
