Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Survey of India on 15 December 2025 to foster academic and research collaboration. The MoU focuses on joint work in Geo-informatics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for automated feature extraction, Geodesy (Physical, Marine, and Satellite), Astronomy, and other engineering disciplines. The agreement aims to promote collaborative research, knowledge exchange, and capacity building between the two institutions.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Athira P, Dean (Academics) and Dr. Arvind Ajoy, Dean (ICSR), on behalf of IIT Palakkad, and Shri Pankaj Kumar, Superintending Surveyor and In-charge of the Kerala & Lakshadweep Wing, on behalf of the Survey of India.
