MoU with Univest Business Machines, LLP,UAE

IIT Palakkad has entered into an MoU with Univest Business Machines, LLP,UAE on 22nd July 2025. This MoU shall facilitate collaboration in technology transfer and research. Faculty and staff from both Institutions will collaborate in the joint research and technology transfer in the disciplines of mutual interest. The MoU was signed by Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean (Industry Collaboration & Sponsored Research), IIT Palakkad, and Tarek Alehbeili, General Manager, Univest Business Machines. 

Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement with Khalifa University of Science and Technology,UAE

IIT Palakkad has signed a Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Khalifa University of Science and Technology, UAE on 24th July 2025. Through this NDA, each party would like to disclose to the other Party, Confidential and/or Proprietary Information for the purpose of exploring research opportunities with regards AI-VSM-Suit: Design and Development of Wearable AI Powered Vital Sign Monitoring Suit for Intelligent Health Monitoring and Emergency Alert System. The NDA was signed by Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean- Industry Collaboration and Sponsored Research, IIT Palakkad, and Dr.Bayan sharif,Provost, Khalifa University of Science and Technology. 

MoU with University of Southampton United Kingdom

IIT Palakkad and University of Southampton United Kingdom have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed by Professor Santhakumar Mohan, Dean, ICSR, IIT Palakkad, and Professor Phillip Wright, Senior Vice President (Academic), in the presence of Professor Yannis Ieropoulos, Head of the Water and Environmental Engineering Group (WEEG), University of Southampton; Dr. Praveena Gangadharan, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering and Project Director of the Global Sanitation Center of Excellence; and Dr. Devasena, Chief Technical Officer, Global Sanitation Center of Excellence, IIT Palakkad. This MoU has been signed to facilitate academic & research activities such as faculty and student exchanges, joint research and development in areas of mutual interest, exploration of technology commercialization opportunities, and organization and participation in academic and scientific events such as seminars and conferences.

Research and Project Collaboration Agreement with Telesto Energy Pte. Ltd., Singapore

IIT Palakkad has signed a MoU with the Telesto Energy Pte. Ltd., Singapore on 01 December 2022. The MoU would facilitate research in the mutually agreed terms of both the parties and is coordinated by Dr. Narayanan C. Krishnan, Associate Professor, Data Science, IIT Palakkad. The agreement will remain in effect for a period of five years.

Memorandum of Understanding with MulticoreWare India Private Limited

IIT Palakkad has signed an MoU with MulticoreWare (McW) Inc., USA on 02 June 2022 for establishing the MulticoreWare Research Centre at IIT Palakkad. The purpose of this MoU is to promote cooperation in scientific research between IIT Palakkad and McW. Through this memorandum, the parties agree to promote Joint research projects in the fields of mutual interest and capability, Exchange of academic publications and reports, and Opportunities for faculty and staff development and exchange.

Memorandum of Understanding with National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan

The Construction Management Group, IIT Palakkad has signed an MoU with the Department of Civil Engineering, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan on 29 March 2021 to work on a collaborative project on the Design of a Cyber-Physical System for Supporting Decision Making in Smart City Infrastructure Management and to establish and enhance partnership and networks between Indian and Taiwanese Science & Technology research.

Research Collaboration MoU with University of Alberta, Canada

The Center for Computational Imaging, Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad and the Department of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, University of Alberta, Canada signed a research collaboration agreement on 22 September 2020 with following main objectives of Development of an automated workflow for point of care portable ultrasound that can be used in the care of patients with COVID-19 and Development of Artificial Intelligence based techniques for analysis and automatic interpretation of lung and cardiac ultrasound that could be potentially used in common respiratory illnesses.The MoU was championed by Dr. Mahesh R. Panicker, Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering, IIT Palakkad.
