ZIGBEE based wireless sensor network for landslide

Landslide also known as a landslip, is a geological phenomenon that includes a wide range of ground movements such as rock falls, deep failure of slopes and shallow debris flows. Landslides in lndia, especially in the North-East regions, are caused due to slope failures which occur due to heavy rainfall. Thus, in order to protect people and livestock, and reduce damage to infrastructure, there is need for a robust cost-effective real-time monitoring system that can forecast slope failures.

Specializations

1. Theoretical Computer Science

Theoretical Computer Science (TCS) focuses on studying and understanding the nature of computation and, as a consequence of this understanding, aims to provide more better and efficient methodologies. Our TCS group mainly work on combinatorics, graphs, parameterized algorithms, computational algebra and type theory.
