Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Air Force (IAF)

An MoU between IIT Palakkad and the Indian Air Force (IAF), Air Headquarters, New Delhi was signed on 18 July, 2022 at 9 Base Repair Depot, Air Force Station Pune. The MoU will facilitate cooperation and promotion of research and development in the areas of indigenous development of aviation components with specific aim to undertake research in 3D Metal Additive Manufacturing. Besides research in areas of mutual interest, the MoU will assist indigenization efforts of the IAF for specific studies in the area of metallurgy related to 3D Metal Additive Manufacturing and in connection to other critical projects of significance. The MoU was signed by the Air Vice Marshal PS Sarin, VSM and the Dean, Industry Collaboration and Sponsored Research, Dr. Santhakumar Mohan in the presence of Air Marshal Vibhas Pandey AVSM VSM.

Memorandum of Understanding with Continental Automotive Components (India) Private Limited

IIT Palakkad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Continental Automotive Components (India) Private Limited on 07 July 2022. The MoU will facilitate an exciting collaboration between the technical expertise available at Continental and the academic and research excellence of IIT–Palakkad in the areas of autonomous driving technologies, connected mobility, and advanced safety solutions. Continental will also offer internship opportunities and co-design inputs for courses offered at IIT-Palakkad, to keep students up-to-date with current and upcoming industry trends.

Memorandum of Understanding with IHUB NTIHAC Foundation

An MoU was signed between IIT Palakkad and IHUB NTIHAC Foundation, a company registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 with its office IIT Kanpur on 30 December 2021 for a project titled “Securing Deep Neural Networks against Adversarial Attacks in Medical Imaging”. With this MoU, both the parties wish to develop and foster an environment to deal with the current and future cyber-security challenges in different sectors.

Memorandum of Understanding with Irrigation and Design Research Board

An MoU was signed between IIT Palakkad and Irrigation and Design Research Board (IDRB) on 25 February 2022 for a project titled “Development of a River Basin Management Plan for the Bharathapuzha River Basin”. The main objective of this project is the development of an implementable river basin management plan that would eventually be implemented as part of a decision support system for the Bharathapuzha river basin for reservoir and water resources management in the basin and thereby effective adaptation to flood and drought.

Memorandum of Understanding with Kerala State Small Industries Association

An MoU was signed between IIT Palakkad and the Ernakulam district unit of the Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) on 12 October 2021. The MoU will facilitate collaboration for innovation in products and processes within the companies under the former. The MoU was signed by the district president of the KSSIA, Mr. P. J. Jose and the Dean of Industry Collaboration and Sponsored Research, Dr. Santhakumar Mohan. The MoU will encourage visits by faculty and students of IIT Palakkad to the companies at KSSIA, in order to identify scope for technical innovations. KSSIA members shall also visit IIT Palakkad to interact with experts and use the facilities available there. This is a significant opportunity for IIT Palakkad to promote innovation in the MSME sector.

Memorandum of Agreement with Kerala Highway Research Institute (KHRI)

IIT Palakkad has signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Kerala Highway Research Institute (KHRI), the research institute under the Public Works Department, Government of Kerala on 13 July 2021. The primary purpose of this MoA is to facilitate knowledge dissemination to the PWD engineers and train them to enhance their skillsets and thus contribute to the infrastructure development of the state. MoA also aims at jointly organizing events such as conferences and seminars, and providing technical support on solving various complex civil engineering field-related issues. 

Memorandum of Understanding with Bexel India Consulting LLP

IIT Palakkad has signed an MoU with Bexel India Consulting LLP on 24 June 2021 to carry out collaborative projects in the field of 5D BIM Management and Digital Twin technologies, by utilizing its capabilities, technologies and pool of knowledge to come up with solutions relevant to Digital Transformation in the Indian Construction Industry.  The primary objective of this MoU is to facilitate knowledge development and dissemination through research and training to the AEC stakeholders. Further, the MoU extends the scope to providing technical support on solving various project delivery problems using digital technologies.

Memorandum of Understanding with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC)

IIT Palakkad has signed an MoU with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Thiruvananthapuram on 11 February 2021 to carry out collaborative R&D projects in the field of Power Electronics and Power Systems, Robotics, Control and Instrumentation, Embedded Systems and Internet of Things or any other technology research areas.

Memorandum of Understanding with National Highway Authority of India

IIT Palakkad has signed an MoU with the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) on 06 November 2020 for Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) and Adopting of National Highway Stretches under Regional Offices of NHAI. The institute shall adopt the Palakkad - Kozhikode and Walayar - Vadakkenchery stretches of National Highways as a voluntary initiative under the ambit of Institutional Social Responsibility. NHAI shall facilitate the faculty, researchers and students of IIT Palakkad to familiarize with the latest trends in the highway/ transportation sector with a common objective of sharing the knowledge in their respective domains. NHAI shall also offer internship to undergraduate and post graduate students of IIT Palakkad and use the adopted stretch of NHs as a field of study.

Memorandum of Agreement with IIT Kanpur on cGanga

A Memorandum of Agreement has been signed on 07 November 2020 with the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur which is acting as the Lead Institute for the establishment of Centre for Ganga River Basin Management and Studies (cGanga) under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. IIT Palakkad will be acting as a Member Institute of the consortium to develop the subject of River Science and Management, and participate in River Restoration and Conservation Programme of the Government of India as a Knowledge Partner. IIT Palakkad will also be participating in implementing various high impact projects, gathering, analytics and dissemination of various kinds of data and information relevant to restoration and conservation of rivers. Additionally it will also be engaging in brainstorming sessions and events organized under the relevant themes of cGanga.
