Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad, The Global Sanitation Centre of Excellence (GSCOE),  signed an international Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of KwaZulu-Natal on 14 September 2025 to promote academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The MoU aims to facilitate joint research initiatives, academic exchange, and collaborative activities in areas of mutual interest, strengthening international cooperation.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Santhakumar Mohan, Dean (ICSR), IIT Palakkad, and Prof. Neil Koorbanally, Dean (Research), University of KwaZulu-Natal.

Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad and IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Munitions India Limited on 26 March 2026 to offer a one-year Certificate Programme on Digital Transformation (AI), Industry 4.0, and Quality 4.0.

The initiative aims to enable AI-driven upskilling of employees at Cordite Factory Aruvankadu and High Energy Projectile Factory, Trichy, through collaborative projects, expert mentorship, and tailored learning pathways, enhancing workforce capabilities and supporting business growth.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Arvind Ajoy, Dean (ICSR), IIT Palakkad, Dr. Saishyam Narayanan, CEO, IPTIF, and Shri N. P. Naik, Director (HR), Munitions India Limited.
