Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth on 24 February 2026 to establish a dedicated Electric Vehicle (EV) Skilling Facility at the IIT Palakkad Technology IHub Foundation.

Through this initiative, ICICI Foundation will provide financial support under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes to develop state-of-the-art EV skilling infrastructure aimed at creating industry-ready talent in electric mobility. The facility will focus on hands-on training, practical exposure, and employability-oriented programmes in EV technologies.

The MoU was signed by Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director, IIT Palakkad, and Mr. Girish S, Regional Head, ICICI Foundation, in the presence of senior officials from IIT Palakkad, IPTIF, and ICICI Foundation.

Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bureau of Indian Standards, Kochi, on 6 January 2026 to promote collaboration in research, standardisation, and academic activities.

The agreement was signed by Prof. A. Seshadri Sekhar, Director of IIT Palakkad, and Shri Narender Reddy Beesu, Scientist ‘E’, Director and Head of BIS Kochi, during a hybrid ceremony attended by representatives from both institutions. The event was also joined via video conference by Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Minister of Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, and Shri B. L. Verma, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Food, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Government of India. 

IIT Palakkad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mirae Asset Foundation(MAF) on 11th December 2025 to provide Scholarships to B.Tech students from the department of Data Science Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. The MoU was signed by Dr Athira P, Dean Academics and Dr.Arvind Ajoy, Dean ICSR, representing IIT Palakkad, and Mr.Patel Rithesh D, Mirae Asset Foundation.
